Barry 3rd XV finally returned to action as they hosted Llandaff 2nd XV in what was their first game since their cup final appearance last season.
Caretaker manager Gerwyn Pugh was buoyed by the return of some long term absentees as the 3rd XV finally managed to get a competitive side together.
As it was, they produced a highly entertaining game which went end-to-end with a glut of tries being scored by both sides.
Scrum-half Ashley Adams bagged a brace to send his side on their way to a bonus-point victory.
Captain Nick Rolfe led by example and also crossed. There was also a try for fly-half Chris Bailey, full back Tom Poole, and a first try of his career for Joe Chucas.
Substitute Alyn Evans added another try to his column when he came off the bench to complete an emphatic win.
Credit must be given to their opponents Llandaff who fought right till the end and produced some superb performances and tries of their own, to add to the fact that they arrived with only 12 men.
Barry 3rd XV will return to action in two weeks when they visit Llanishen.
