Lottery

By Jon Venners

Barry RFC Lottery – Since the inception of the Lottery in 2016, the total raised to date has been £27,000, half of which has been a direct benefit to the club, you would have noticed recently that the club house has benefited from a refurbishment to the bar furniture and kitchen. This was as a result of some of those lottery funds and a matched WRU grant, which was organised by one of our hard-working committee members Ray Baker.

Many of you will not be aware, but to keep Barry RFC functioning every year costs the club £85,000 per annum, we constantly strive as a committee to improve things for the members and guests, it is vitally important that we all work together, along with membership, subscriptions, Patrons donations and sponsorship, the lottery is one of those ways that help to improve things for all. I am aware of other clubs who started the same time as us, their gross totals are in the 60 and 70 thousand.

Please can everyone support the Lottery it benefits us all.

Tickets at the club bar, there are also Direct debit mandates that you can also obtain at the bar. Alternatively, any local business, I could drop you a load of tickets to you if you wish that you could sell at your business premises, which I could collect off you weekly, the current prize fund stands at £4,750, the cost of one ticket is £1 you have to match 4 numbers out of 24 correctly which are electronically generated, if you match 3 numbers you win £10, the draw takes place every Saturday.
