The Loss of a "True Clubman" and Rugby Brother

It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors announce the passing of Mr Dave (Lambchop) Lambeth.

Dave played for the club for many years.  He was a true clubman and a great servant to the club both on and off the field.  Tributes have been pouring in social media describing Dave as, "A great Character who will be sadly missed", "A tough player with a big heart", "Always there to help younger guys starting out on their rugby careers" and many more accolades describing Dave as a genuinely nice bloke.

A lot of us retired players will have fond memories of Dave.  He always played hard and fair.  His strength was one of his key attributes both with the ball in hand and in defence.  He was a fearsome tackler who would more often than not get more pleasure from a good nut crunching tackle than a well scored try.

Dave's funeral  will take a Barry Crematorium on the 1st of December 21 at 12pm.  All at Barry RFC pass on our sincerest condolences to Dave's family.
