Try avalanche keeps them on track

Barry unleashed an eleven try spree as they overcame a resilient Llanharan at the Reservoir Field last Saturday to maintain their promotion push.
Due to late arrivals of opposition players the game began with uncontested scrums and this turned into an advantage for the visitors initially as their lively scrum half caused all sorts of problems for the home defence.
However it was Barry who got the first score following a threequarter move which saw Dylan Robertson score the first of his hattrick of tries, adding the conversion as well.
The visitors came straight back, and loose defending saw them cross for an unconverted try.
After defending from the restart where the visitors were held up over the line, Barry countered the length of the field and crossed for an unconverted try.
The uncontested scrums were making for an open game and again the visitors got themselves into the Barry 22.From a scrum ,the scrum half threw a dummy to wrong foot the defence to cross unopposed for a converted try to bring the scores level at 12 all.
The game see sawed as the half moved on.A long clearance into the Barry 22 was gathered by Robertson who launched an attack
weaving his way through the visitors defence to score a fine individual try which he himself converted.
Barry now had their tales up, with their pace behind causing all sorts of problems for the visitors and minutes later another counter attack saw Harry Moyle on hand to cross for the first of his hattrick again converted by Dylan Robertson, giving Barry a lead of 26 - 12 as the half time whistle went.
We returned to normal scrums as the second period began but with Barry continuing to attack from all areas of the field, it was only a matter of time before they added to the score. This came as they ran the ball from their own half finally allowing Wayne Jones to cross wide out for an unconverted try.
Keeping the visitors pinned back Barry scored again as a lineout drive found Harry Moyle on hand to cross for the try with Kyle Barross adding the conversion.Minutes later they increased the score with this time Brad White crossing for his first try in another hattrick performance with Kyle Barross again adding the extras.
Despite the scoreline Llanharan remained competitive and worked their way into the Barry 22 where the ball was held up by Barry. A long clearance from the scrum saw Dylan Robertson outstrip the covering defence to get the touchdown having chased the length of the field and he again converted his try.
Another try which began from under their own posts saw Brad White cross and Dylan Robertson convert. He was to get his third moments later when good interpassing gave him the run in with this time Kyle Barross converting.
Back in the visitors 22 from the restart a lineout clearance was charged down with Harry Moyle first on hand to get the touchdown again Kyle Barross converting , a score which turned out to be the last play of the day.
A fine team performance and one which Barry hope to build on as they travel to play fellow promotion hopefuls Cilfynydd this Saturday, kick off at 2.30pm.
