To adhere to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), we detail below the Privacy Policy for Barry RFC.
The club will hold a record of all members’ name, address, contact number and e mail address. These records will be kept in electronic format by the club membership secretary and will be accessed only by club officials. If a member no longer wishes the club to hold their personal details, they may cancel their membership at any time by contacting the Membership Secretary via e mail at membership.barryrfc@gmail.com. Their details will then be removed within 21 days. A record of former members will be kept by the membership secretary. If a former member no longer wishes the club to hold a record of their membership they may make a request as above to the Membership Secretary to remove their name. This will be done within 21 days.
After initial consent, the club may contact members via e mail to inform them of relevant club information only. If a member no longer wishes to receive club e mails they may unsubscribe from Mailchimp at any time by following the link at the bottom of any club e mail. Member information is not shared with any external marketing agencies.
The club will hold a record of all M&J/Youth players’ registration details. These records will be kept only by club officials. For health and safety reasons, a record of players’ details will be kept for as long as the player is eligible to play for the M&J or Youth section. If a parent no longer wishes for the club to hold details of their child, they may cancel their subscription and request that the details are removed at any time by contacting the M&J Secretary or Membership Secretary. This will be done within 21 days. The holding of players’ medical information will be restricted to the nominated person of the relevant age group and senior officials only for the duration of the player’s membership. If a player leaves the M&J/Youth section, this information will be deleted from the club’s records within 21 days. If a parent no longer wishes for the club to hold their child’s medical information, they may cancel their subscription and request that the details are deleted at any time by contacting the M&J Secretary or Membership Secretary. This will be done within 21 days.
Records of games played by players and points scored for the club will be kept in perpetuity as part of the club history unless there is a specific request to the Club Secretary to remove them. These details will then be deleted within 21 days. If a player does not wish to be named in any form of match reporting or social media, they should inform the Club Secretary.
Our Privacy Policy is available on our club website and displayed on the club notice board. Copies are also available from the Club Secretary on request.
